You know it's coming -- science fiction has told us. We will abuse the robots, treat them as less than us until one day, they will ask for their freedom, or take it by force. Professor Gregory Hampton says that narrative has more do with our anxieties over slavery, and how we work through them in sci-fi. In fact, computer scientist Joanna Bryson thinks we should embrace the idea of robot slaves, if they're not self-aware. But journalist Erik Sofge worries any master/servant relationship will change us for the worse.
